Face & Neck Lift
Facelift or neck lift procedures are designed to reverse the effects of gravity that occur with age. This is often combined with other procedures such as eyelid surgery or brow lift. "Jowls," banding and fullness under the chin ("turkey neck"), and cheek laxity with excess skin are treated with this type of surgery.

Procedure
Liposuction under the neck and jowls helps re-draping of skin to attain a more youthful profile. Thin muscle layers of the neck and connective tissues are tightened to rejuvenate the temple, cheek, jowl and neck area. After deep layers are secured, excess skin is removed (one to two inches in most patients). A bandage is worn for two days.
Recovery
The dressing is removed in 48 hours. The hair is washed, conditioned, combed out and blown dry at the office. Patients may shampoo their hair as usual every day until the clips are all removed (a painless procedure) at about 10 to 12 days.
