About 10 years ago I began to let the shape of my nose determine the way I lived my life. The way I had a conversation with someone, my level of self-confidence, even the way I wore my hair. I hated the idea of looking this way for the rest of my life, but my only solution was to inflict harm on myself by breaking my own nose, but how I would pull it off, I didn t know. Would it even guarantee that I'd get a nose job out of it? Probably not. Was it worth the pain? Yes, it would be. I just wanted to look at myself in the mirror and feel good about who was looking back at me, but instead, I resigned myself to the fact that hating the way I "looked" would be my fate.

I met Dr. Robinson when I was 24 years old. After the first few minutes of talking with him, I felt as if he had always known my struggles and was 100% dedicated to helping me overcome them. One month later, I had a brand new nose! I can remember the day my cast came off like it happened yesterday; Dr. Robinson s staff hearing my shouts of joy from the back of the office to the front desk. Even though the shape of my nose would still change drastically over the next six months, at that moment I had never felt better about my new self-image. I look back now, pre-surgery and post-surgery and know I will never find a way to thank Dr. Robinson and his staff for how much they have changed the quality of my life. I am no longer the girl who minds sitting next to you instead of in front of you, or the girl who thought she would never be beautiful. And if anyone asks to take a picture of my profile, I'll hand over the camera and give them my biggest smile!

TCA Peel

After the birth of my last child I noticed the skin around my eyes, upper lip and cheeks had become blotchier by the year. There were times especially during the summer months when my face and neck took on the appearance of acne and a leathery scale look. It first seemed to be in the areas were I would remove unwanted hair such as the eyebrows and upper lip, however the older I became the more it spread out and the discolored skin became darker.

I looked into all types of therapies to lighten the darkened areas. I tried many over the counter creams, Hypoderm-abrasion, laser treatments and wore heavy sun block only to have the areas remain unchanged. It wasn't until I had the TCA Chemical Peel that the spottiness and darkened areas took on a fresher look.

The actual TCA peel treatment was briefly painful but within a few minutes the pain was gone. My skin slowly became hot pink and a little puffy for about 14 days. During this time the old skin started to peel away and my new skin looked like a baby s. I wore 70 sun block even while sitting by a window, something I strongly encourage everyone to do on a daily basis.

It has been over a year now and I still have people state how happy I look. The receptionist at the dentist office commented on how great I looked. I hadn t realized, not only did I not feel pretty with the dark marks which made me look older, it actually affected the way I expressed myself.

If you are considering a chemical peel, ask questions, do your online research, read testimonials and look at the before and after photos. My face and neck look better today than 10 years ago!

TCA Peel

I recently had a TCA face peel done by Monica Martin. As it was the very first face peel I'd ever had in my life, I was quite apprehensive. Monica quickly put me at ease, as I saw the cleanliness and organization of the treatment room and was reassured by Monica's impeccable hygiene, obvious skill and experience in giving peels. Monica was extremely warm, personable and professional and took time to carefully explain what to expect during and after the procedure. The outcome was FABULOUS! TCA Peel

I grew up a sun worshiper in the Central Valley of California (sunscreen involved baby oil and iodine to encourage the burn). Not only did I watch both of my parents experience painful treatments, surgery, etc. for skin cancer, but also watched my own face and arms start to shrivel into prune-like, spotted disgustingness when I hit my 40's--and of course once it was too late, started worrying about my own risk for skin cancer. My doctor had frozen a number of "pre-cancerous" spots over the past couple of years. Last year I read a short blurb by a dermatologist in "Dressage Today" that suggested doing a TAC chemical peel to eliminate the surface damage which then lets you see what might be significant. I did it and can't believe what a difference it made for my skin....people I hardly know are asking me how I got 10 years younger! Not only does it look great, I feel pretty confident that I'll recognize problem spots if they do come up AND I'm very motivated to slather myself in sunscreen and wear a hat especially now that I kind of believe it's not "too late".

I am especially thankful to you and your staff for the kindness, the compassion and for the lack of judgement everyone displayed towards me. I felt immediately comfortable at your clinic and knew at the start I was going to get the best treatment possible. I feel that being comfortable with the procedure, you and your staff went a long way towards speeding my recovery and making it all a "pain free" experience. (The only uncomfortable part being the wearing of the "crush helmet" and trying to figure out how to sleep in it).
